Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (translated: Someone’s brother, someone’s loved one) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films. The movie features Salman Khan, Venkatesh, Pooja Hegde, Amrita Puri and Jagapathi Babu as lead actors, along with an ensemble cast.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Production

Director Farhad Samji originally intended to remake the 2014 Tamil film Veeram as Bachchhan Paandey (previously titled Land of Lungi) with Akshay Kumar. However, he altered the script of Bachchan Paandey so that it would become a remake of a Tamil movie titled Jigarthanda. As the company that held the rights to remake the films, Nadiadwala Grandson, agreed to Samji’s alteration of Veeram’s tale and presented it to Salman Khan, who accepted. Later, Nadiadwala left the project and gave the rights to Khan, who then decided to release the film under his own banner, Salman Khan Films.

The movie’s announcement was made on January 10th, 2020, with the title Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. However, it was later repeatedly delayed and suffered numerous pre-production issues due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to the reported title of Bhaijaan being used. However, on August 22nd, 2022, the official title of the movie was announced as Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

In February of 2020, Pooja Hegde was appointed as the primary character. On December 31st, 2021, Venkatesh was added to the cast, this is considered his return to Hindi cinema following Taqdeerwala (1995). Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam, and Raghav Juyal were recruited to portray Khan’s brothers in the movie.The Punjabi film actress Shehnaaz Gill, the South Indian actress Malvika Sharma, a newcomer Palak Tiwari, and boxer-villager Vijender Singh were all signed, which represented their Hindi film debut with the film. Jagapathi Babu was recruited to have a significant role in the film, which made him the second Hindi actor to participate in a film with Hegde, after Radhe Shyam (2022). Aasif Sheikh was recruited to have a significant role, Ram Charan was invited to participate in a special role.

In June of 2022, Bollywood Hungama reported that Ravi Basrur was contacted about composing the background music and a single song. The source also stated that Devi Sri Prasad, who was originally scheduled to appear in the movie, instead chose to decline the project.[18] However, Prasad denied the rumors, stating that he already had a dance number written for the movie. Himesh Reshammiya, Sajid Khan, Sukhbir Singh, Payal Dev, and Amaal Mallik will also contribute songs to the project.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Filming

The beginning of the actual filming took place on 12 May of the following year in Mumbai. Later in June, the manufacturing location was shifted to Hyderabad. In August of 2022, a song was recorded in conjunction with other scenes in Ladakh. The shooting of the movie is scheduled to be completed by December of 2022.
